Releasing Negativity & Resistance

Originally posted 11/20/2010

I picked up Abraham-Hicks’ latest book over the weekend, “Getting Into the Vortex – Guided Meditations CD & User Guide” and although I’ve only just started reading and listening to the CD, I’m really enjoying what it offers.

A key part of the audio recordings centers around a way of breathing that seems to help the listener to more easily raise their vibration during the meditation. It definitely was working for me — I muscle tested my vibration had actually gone “off the chart” while listening, using the Scale of Emotions as the measuring stick.

I think the most critical aspect of being able to raise your vibration is with the releasing of resistance and negative energy within your body. This has become my coaching area of expertise over the past couple years. Things have evolved quite a bit with my approach and coaching tools and I now find I am able to help people release several types of energies that are low vibration (low end of the scale) and negative. I’ve had the opportunity to witness some pretty amazing transformations during that time.

It can be very challenging to live in this world these days and not pick up some negativity. Some people are more susceptible to it than others — a lot of that has to do with where a person lives “vibrationally” to begin with. A person who is more “pessimistic” is going to attract more negative energy than a person who is “optimistic.”

The most debilitating negative energy patterns are not things we create ourselves but energies that get “stuck” to us as we go though life. This is why a pessimistic person is more likely to draw more negative experiences to them. You become magnetized positively or negatively, just like the magnets on your refrigerator. The Law of Attraction dictates that “like attracts like” which is the opposite of how magnets operate (positive attracts negative). In energetic terms, positive attracts positive and negative attracts negative because there is a resonance match occurring energetically. This is why negative energies that are floating around the planet can get drawn and stuck to negative people very easily.

An optimistic, positive person has the energetic equivalent of a strong immune system. Positive energy can repel negative energy. So a positive person is much less exposed or susceptible to having negative energy drawn to them.

I always like to focus on the good news, and in this case, the good news is that even a very negative and resistant person can change their ways as long as the energetic patterns are released that are holding them in place on the negative side of the fence. The chances of flipping this switch through managing thoughts alone is very remote. But, when the energy component is effectively addressed, a person can make this change in a relatively short amount of time.

If you know anyone who would be interested in making this change, have them check out my website and schedule a Free Jumpstart Your Happiness Coaching Session.

The Speed Demon

I’ve been thinking lately it would be useful to share some of the shifts that occur with clients, with their permission of course. So, here is a very recent one. Many more to come… I’ve got tons of these but just need to write them up.

I worked with a gentleman recently who mentioned he had a strong urge to drive fast, even when he wasn’t in a hurry. He said he’d had this most of his life and it had caused him to get several speeding tickets and warnings over the years. He also said he often felt impatient at red lights or anytime he was delayed while driving.

We focused on clearing “stuck energy patterns” and cleared about three of these. There was an entity type attachment (very common to find these) that made me think of the term “speed demon,” which was causing most of this urge within him. It had a very impatient angry frequency to it.

He reported the following week that he had noticed a definite shift in his driving. No longer felt the need to be passing everyone (unlike before), felt comfortable driving in the right lane of highway (unlike before), and generally felt more relaxed and patient overall while driving.

Here is his experience in his own words:

“One of the things I battled on a day to day basis was my driving. You see, I enjoy driving fast. Not just 60 in a 55 but 80 or above. I hated to be passed. I was always in the left lane doing the passing. I was also always very aware of traffic, and actually considered myself a safe driver, but at 80 or 90 on the interstate how safe can you be?

Well, after just one session with Paul I can now drive the legal limit. I don’t grind my teeth when someone passes me. The need to be in the left hand lane and ‘in the lead’ is gone. Not only on the interstate, but in city or highway driving as well. It doesn’t make me crazy anymore to be behind the proverbial “little old lady” or farmer who is driving at or below the speed limit.

My driving skills are as good as ever, but now much safer because I drive the limit. I am no longer  always in a hurry just for the sake of getting there two minutes sooner. Everyone around me on the road and in my car is safer. I have Paul to thank for this because,  try as I may, I have never been able to accomplish this in the 40 years that I have been driving.

Thank you Paul for the lives you may have saved by breaking me of this decades-old habit.” — Robert A.  Dickinson

Something that I find very interesting as I read this is, at no point did I actually work directly with Bob on breaking his habit of speeding. All I did was remove a few stuck energy patterns that were somehow related to the compulsion or desire to go fast.  I used self-muscle testing to locate these patterns. I wouldn’t have had a clue where to find them without the muscle testing tool. Bob had a deeper desire to drive safe, but the patterns within him wanted nothing to do with that! Once that patterns were removed, he was “back in the driver’s seat” and able to drive at the speed that he most wanted to be at.  It’s a great illustration of how these patterns can affect a person… And how easily a habit or behavior can change once the patterns have been removed.
